Facilities

Car Park – There is space for up to 16 cars or other small vehicles – no coaches are allowed and there is no overnight parking. Coach parties need to make special arrangements with the Reserve Manager.
Path – A hardcore path runs from the car park down to and all through the reserve, with information / interpretation boards at regular intervals and offering views of most habitats. The path is continuous with a 3km hardcore trail allowing disabled access to the adjacent woodland.
Picnic Area – There are 5 picnic tables in a heathland area with a shelter nearby.
Red Squirrel Hide – A medium-sized red squirrel / bird-watching hide (with wheelchair access) with views over the pond and wildlife feeding areas.
Eskrigg Centre – A large, high-quality hide / visitor centre with interpretation and teaching / research facilities and wheelchair access.
Kingfisher Hide – A small bird-watching hide (without wheelchair access) overlooking the pond.
Toilet – A compost toilet with disabled access.
